Overview:

Prospero Vascular is seeking a personable, bilingual, highly organized, detail-oriented Front Office/Admitting Coordinator to join our team at a new interventional radiology clinic and procedural center. The Admitting Coordinator will serve as the point of contact for patients, visitors, and healthcare professionals, providing exceptional customer service and playing a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office. This is a full-time position with opportunities for career growth.

Duties:

- Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner, assisting them with check-in procedures and intake form completion

- Verify patient demographic and insurance information, ensuring accuracy and completeness of records

- Prepare new patient charts in the electronic medical record and ensure all necessary clinical information is entered into them

- Obtain payer authorizations and submit billing information to appropriate central resources

- Schedule and modify patient appointments and maintain daily calendars for providers and staff

- Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and handle inquiries in a professional and timely manner

- Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders when necessary

- Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, proofreading, transcribing, and data entry

- Ensure that the front office area is clean, organized, and presentable at all times

- Collaborate with referring offices and facilities to ensure efficient communication and workflow

- Corodinate efficient patient flow by notifying staff of patient's completion of check in as appropriate.

- Providing patients with all needed paperwork as well as a follow up appointments as indicated at check out

- Maintain patient confidentiality by adhering to all HIPPA regulations

- Regularly open and close the center

Skills:

- High school diploma or equivalent required

- Minimum of two (2) years' experience in a healthcare or medical billing office required with demonstrated understanding of medical terminology

- Fluency in Spanish language required

- Demonstrated ability in verifying insurance with Medicare, Medicaid and commercial payers

- Demonstrated ability in obtaining authorizations and/or referrals from insurance carriers

- Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse populations

- Highly motivated, team player with a focus on providing the best possible patient experience

- Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
